During the formation of Warrior Force, Alex
Quest was chosen as the White Knight Ranger. Armed with the Knight Claymore and the
KnightZord, the White Knight used the very power of chivalry to defeat his opponents.
However, Alex was only the Knight Ranger for a short time, long enough to battle Darkonda
and several Crocatocs before the final battle against Dark Spector's forces began. During
the final battle, Knight Ranger helped protect Earth against the invading Quantrons before
the Zordon Wave hit. His powers destroyed, Alex returned to the Power Center with the
other Rangers and learned that he could claim the powers of a former Ranger. Alex chose to
take the power of the DragonZord and become the Green Dragon Ranger. As the Green Ranger,
Alex has already encountered the forces of evil on several occasions. His first taste of
battle came when the villan Black Star sent the monster Tetra to attack the Earth.
Becoming the Green Ranger, Alex summoned the DragonZord and aided several Rangers in
defeating the monster. Returning to the Power Center, Alex discovered that the former
White Star Ranger had been kidnapped by Black Star so he joined the rescue team, being
taken captive by Black Star before morphing into the Green Ranger and providing cover fire
for the rest of the rescue team as they worked to destroy the shield generator aboard the
Dark Fortress. Returning to Earth once more, Ecliptor and Havoc launched an attack against
the Rangers. Summoning DragonZord once more Alex worked with the AstroMegaZord and
Mega-Winger to damage Ecliptor before the DragonZord has badly damaged by Havoc and Green
Ranger was forced to evacuate to the Astro MegaZord and send DragonZord back to its base.
After the battle, news came that Celestial Lightning Ranger had been kidnapped by Black
Star along with the former White Star Ranger. Joining the second rescue team, Alex took
command of the Astro MegaZord and formed the Astro Delta Megazord with Jungle Bio Ranger
in order to destroy the vortex that was allowing Velocifighters to attack the Rangers.
Returning from this fight, the Rangers have been plunged into battle once more against the
Chamilatron monster, a monster that has already killed Gold Dragon Ranger.
Green Dragon Ranger, Psycho Yellow Ranger, and Jungle Bio Ranger were then involved in the rescue of the Green Turbo Ranger, who had been captured by Shadows. During this battle, Green Ranger discovered a new ability - the Green Dragon Megaflare - a powerful projectile attack that could easily destroy the Shadows, but severely drained Green Ranger's power. While battling Super Shadows, Alex actually demorphed due to the energy expended by a Megaflare and was forced to return to the Power Center to recharge his powers while the remaining Rangers finished the Super Shadows off. Alex's powers returned just in time to help destroy a monster that had infiltrated the Power Center and was attacking the Zord Bay. Green Ranger next saw action against the Remoteacon monster, a dangerous enemy who could remotely control machines - including Zords. It took several battles against the monster, who had gained control of the Celestial Lightning Warrior Zord and the Red Dragon ThunderZord before the Rangers were able to defeat the monster by combining their powers. Next up was a trip to the planet Edenoi, home of the Masked Rider. During the trip there, Alex manned the tactical console on the Astro Megaship, but no attacks occured until the Rangers reached the planet. On the planet Alex was forced to fight a number of Shadows by himself as the other Rangers were each involved in their own battles. Fortunately the Rangers were able to defeat the Shadows, and Goldar with the help of the Masked Rider RX before returning to Earth where they almost immediately had to fight some old enemies of the Power Rangers. Green Dragon Ranger and White Fang Ranger took down the BubberCut monster, but it merged with the other monsters and grew to large size, where the Rangers were able to seperate it with their Zords before finishing the individual monsters off one at a time.
Black Star had gained the power of the Zeo Crystals and used them to transport the Rangers to the planet Miranoi, 3000 years in the past where they were forced to fight the Galaxy Rangers. The World of Two Realities Rangers were able to defeat the Galaxy Rangers by destroying their Transmorphers and in the process gained new allies and new friends. The Rangers returned to Earth, still stuck in the past, where they gained the help of Zordon and Alpha 5, mentors to the original Rangers. By combining their powers, the Rangers opened a portal back to the present and returned home, only to face some Super Shadows on their return. Again, by combining their powers the Rangers were able to defeat the Shadows and return to the Power Center to learn that Black Star had replaced the Pink Astro Ranger with a spy. Together Celestial Lightning Ranger and the Mighty Morphin' Force teleported to another dimension to rescue the real Pink Astro Ranger. In this dimension, the Rangers met Count Zedd and had to fight his Zedd putties. Mighty Morphin' Force used their Power Blaster to defeat Zedd and returned home to fight the Sting Winger monster.

The Green Ranger can summon the DragonZord using the Dragon Dagger. Through the dagger, Green Ranger can control DragonZord remotely, activate DragonZord's tail whip, and fire missiles from DragonZord's hands. If the situation demands it, Green Ranger can also control DragonZord directly from the Zord's cockpit. Alex prefers fighting in Zord combat this way because it is a more direct form of combat.
In past times, DragonZord could combine with the DinoZords to form the MegaDragonZord and with Titanus, the Carrier Zord to form UltraZord. However, the current members of the Force use the ThunderZords, so the UltraZord and MegaDragonZord combinations are no longer possible.
When the DragonZord was damaged in combat, Alex fought using the AstroMegaZord, a Zord available to all of the Reality Rangers. During the rescue mission of Jewel and Erutan, Alex took control of the AstroMegaZord commanding it while the Jungle Bio Ranger commanded the DeltaMegaZord.
